Description
It is a qualitative indicator that shows sexual and socioeconomic diversity.
Diversity is an indicator measured at faculty level. Faculty checks if the student representation is diverse, referring both sexual diversity (males and females), and socioeconomic diversity (if the students come from different backgrounds). Also, the diversity at faculty’s services for students who missed any competence – e.g. special language programmes, social skills programmes, etc.- or special programmes for excellent students. Moreover, the faculty overhauls if diversity is included in the main goals of the courses imparted – called “intercultural competence”- and if students learn about the diversity itself. The existence of programmes about sensibility for teachers is also checked under this indicator.
The integration of risk students is correlated with the social aims of the HEI's.
As far as the level of decision making is concerned, it is a strategic indicator and falls within Teaching & Learning scope.
