It is a quantitative indicator that shows research effort index per FTE teaching staff.

As far as the level of decision making is concerned, it is a tactical indicator and falls within Research scope.

Decision-making uses

  • Managment of incentives and opportunities for research engagement.

Formula

Σ Proportion of time devoted to research by teaching staff  / Σ FTE teaching staff
