Description
It is a quantitative indicator that shows ratio of spin-offs established per FTE teaching staff.
A spin-off is a new company expressly established to develop or exploit IP or know-how created by the Research Organization with a formal contractual relationship for this IP or know-how, such as a license or equity agreement.
Include, but do not limit to, spin-offs established by the institution’s staff.
As far as the level of decision making is concerned, it is a tactical indicator and falls within Relationship with Society scope.
Decision-making uses
- Improve the collaboration policies with the Society, particularly in the field of innovation and knowledge transfer.
