Description

It is a quantitative indicator that shows percentage of FTE teaching staff who participated in activities to improve their teaching skills per FTE teaching staff.

Activites may include: pedagogical training, support activities for their adaptation of technology-enhanced L&T (e.g., e-learning, flipped classroom), peer support systems for teaching staff or teaching observation, or who were awarded for their outstanding engagement in teaching based on a merit system.

Partaking in courses does not mean one has improved his/her skills. Arguably, some might not participate because they are already proficient/experienced.

As far as the level of decision making is concerned, it is an operational indicator and falls within Teaching & Learning scope.

Decision-making uses

  • Identify needs of pedagogical investment.
